Language Other Than English L.O.T.E

The LOTE department at University HS Charter and University MAST Magnet is dedicated to a rigorous curriculum designed to facilitate development and mastery of world languages. We currently offer Spanish, Spanish for Spanish speakers, and French courses. Each course provides opportunities for students to read, listen, write and speak in the target language at the appropriate level. Our teachers differentiate instruction and allow students to flourish academically and to be biliterate citizens. Many of our students take AP level courses on campus, receive the state and/or district Seal of Biliteracy, and go on to pursue university degrees with emphasis in World Languages.
